What Canon camcorder is best for the money?
Good Friday morning is black and I'm really looking to buy a nice video so you can keep making movies. I have two options for camera I've been looking at: the Canon Vixia HF20 High Definition was quoted at 499, and then Canon HD HF200, which was quoted at 549. I really want a camera with high quality filming and is very good at getting the film out of it on your computer for editing. Please help because I looked up reviews and has not really helped. HELP!
I just went through the same motions and chose the HF200. I liked the idea of fewer moving parts in the camera and so I stayed away from the internal memory. Some of the buttons on the camera seem to be in strange places, but I quickly acclimated. The quality is excellent and very easy to txfr to your Mac or PC. www.fumfie.com have the camera available for under $ 500 and it was a pleasure buying. The installed s / w is quite limited and initially had trouble transferring from camera to PC just b / c of an environment that had not done in the camera. As soon as it was completed, everything was fine. I love the ability to manually adjust the video camera and / or photo. Hoping not having to carry my camera, but I have some features to master b4, giving that up. I hope this is helpful. good luck.
