What components should I choose for video editing?
I have a budget of around $ 1000 and wants to build a video editing equipment. I will use an HDTV to the monitor. I have a high definition camcorder video cannon that uses internal flash memory and SD cards. What processor, memory, hard disk, card reader, so should I get? I've never buildt a team on my own before but I'll have a little help from a friend.
Processor: Intel Core i7 Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe, Gigabyte GA EX58 UD5 or E758 BL 132 EVGA A1 RAM: Minimum of 3 x 1 GB DDR3 RAM (3GB), but 6GB (3 x 2 GB or 6 x 1 GB) is the best. Albums: One 10000RPM WD Velociraptor 150GB HLFS for Vista 64-bit and a 150GB WD Velociraptor HLFS 10000RPM for applications (not save data on disks, only the operating system and applications). 2X WD Caviar Black 1 TB of storage.
