Video Best Editing Software? PC?
I have to do a commercial for something, and I have a PC. What's a similar software video into iMovie? Only need to organize my scenes, add special effects, music and sounds. Help? thanks!
If you have Windows XP or Vista, Microsoft has a Free software video editing similar to Apple's iMovie. It is called Movie Maker and it works pretty well. You can download it from www.microsoft.com or www.windowsupdate.com. Like iMovie, Movie Maker has some constraints. The biggest is that only outputs video as Windows Media Video (WMV). These files run successfully in almost every Windows PC, but will not run on Macs. However, WMV files can upload to YouTube, Facebook and other online sites, and work very well. I used Movie Maker and Easy to use and very stable. It is designed for consumer use, but can easily make the cut, dissolve, base effects, titles, voiceovers, tracks music and other editing tasks. And you can not beat free. Another voice said Adobe Premiere Elements. That is a good choice, as Sony Vegas and Corel VideoStudio X2. I VideoStudio X2 and use it to edit in HD. All of them will cost money and are more complex (and may do more than) Microsoft Movie Maker. Below are links to two videos I did with the software discussed above. Good luck! –
